The Regional Olympic and Sports Committee of the Côte d’Azur organized a Sport Health Symposium at the Regional Sports House in Mandelieu to address one of the most current topics in the debate.

In fact, scientific studies show that, between cardiovascular diseases and addictive behaviors, sports remain a major asset in combating these scourges.

The opportunity for Stéphane Diagana, former world champion in athletics, to present the As du Cœur project of the Azur Sport Santé team. This project aims to offer tailored solutions to individuals suffering from cardiovascular diseases who wish to engage in physical and sports activities. A meeting rich in exchanges that brought together nearly forty people all invested in the field of sports and health.

Also very interesting was the testimony of Christophe MARTIN, who presented ANPAA 06 (National Association for Prevention in Alcoholology and Addictology), which fights against all types of addiction through, among other means, physical and sports activities.

Two Round Tables: one around “From the As du Cœur project to the creation of Azur Sport Santé” animated by doctors Jean-Jacques Domérégo, Alain FUCH, and the project coordinator Odile DIAGANA, and the other “Adapted Activities and Addictions: Sharing an Experience” led by Sophie ANCONA and Vincent LAROCHE, facilitated fruitful exchanges with the symposium attendees and provided proximity appreciated by all.
