The Commune of Roquestéron was awarded the departmental prize of the “Rubans du Patrimoine” for the restoration of the Church of Saint-Arige. The official award ceremony for Mrs. Danielle CHABAUD, Mayor of Roquestéron, took place this Saturday at 11 am with the unveiling of a plaque.
Organized by the Association of Mayors of France, the Heritage Foundation, the French Building Federation, and the Savings Bank, the “Rubans du Patrimoine” competition aims to reward communes, and therefore the Mayors of France, who have particularly distinguished themselves in the improvement of the living environment and built heritage.
Each year, national and departmental prizes are awarded to the winning communes.
For the Alpes-Maritimes, Honoré Colomas, President of the Association of Mayors 06, Jean-Louis Marques, Departmental Delegate of the Heritage Foundation, and Philippe Gautier, President of the Building Federation of the Alpes-Maritimes, have joined forces in this initiative.
