The first flagship operation of the future Nice-Airport multimodal exchange hub, the mixed-use office/hotel/retail program of block 3.5 brings together the developer Nacarat and the energy company EDF, aiming to deploy eco-exemplary innovations.

Thanks to the “ÉcoCité” initiative led by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the EPA has secured support from the “City of Tomorrow” fund as part of future investments to promote the execution of the high energy and environmental performance program of block 3.5 within the Grand Arénas development operation.

To ensure a comprehensive approach in the building’s environmental development process, EDF has been involved from the start in the design, which is partly what makes the EPA’s action unique.

The targeted performance is to achieve a reduction of 30 to 50% in consumption compared to thermal regulations.

The building, whose design has been entrusted to the architect Dominique Perrault, DPA Agency, will benefit from a prime location in the immediate vicinity of the Nice-Airport multimodal exchange hub and the future exhibition center.

It will consist of volumes ranging from 3 to 8 floors over a total area of 18,000 m². The 8,000 m² of office space can be divided into 150 m² units to better meet market demand, and 10,000 m² will host a 4-star hotel with approximately 180 rooms catering to business and leisure clients. Some retail spaces are planned at the foot of the buildings, along with underground parking areas.

The Silo Parking, 2nd structuring program of the Nice Méridia urban technology park

On this occasion, a new program was announced, the Silo parking, located next to The Crown building and will be one of the major facilities of the Nice Méridia urban technology park. Composed of six levels, it will offer 450 parking spaces and will be enlivened on the ground floor by 600 m² of retail and services. Its delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.
