Philippe Renaudi, president of UPE 06 – and new member of the Medef national executive board (the “government” of the organization) and Honoré Ghetti, president of the CPME, extended their best wishes to the press.
This was an opportunity to assess the general situation and discuss some specific files.
The most pressing is that of boosting the territory’s attractiveness. To this end, the implementation of Comex40, a think tank composed of 12 members (with gender parity, male/female) will focus on the social, economic, and environmental changes impacting the business world.
The Union for Businesses in the Alpes-Maritimes aims to continue its efforts for the wellbeing of businesses in the Azure region, such as economic animation, business representation, and defending their interests, whether they be economic, social, or fiscal.
Waste management, local taxation, and mobility are three strong points for the year 2020, on which UPE 06 wants to focus. There will also be closer collaboration with professional branches on employment, training, and apprenticeships.
Philippe Renaudi also announced a new cultural and societal initiative, the Enterprise Film Festival, which will have a regional base organized by local Medef Committees (in the Sud region, it will be the Azur Enterprise Film Festival) and the final will be held in the Alpes-Maritimes on July 11 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. The theme of this first edition? “Thriving within the company.” Ambitious, isn’t it?
The president of UPE 06 evaded the current issue of the pension reform which, according to him, does not directly concern the employer organization, except to be vigilant about its financing: “the resolution of the conflict cannot be by increasing employer contributions!”
Last but not least: 2020 will also be the year of renovating the UPE 06 headquarters.
