Persistent drought conditions once again pose risks of forest fires. The Prefecture has established a new red period of prohibition on the use of fire in the department until March 4, including the following provisions in particular:
1) Prohibition of burning cut and standing vegetation.
2) Prohibition of discarding ignited objects (cigarette butts…).
3) Prohibition of carrying or lighting a fire.
4) Prohibition of smoking inside woods, forests, moors, scrubland, garrigue, and on roads crossing these areas.
5) Prohibition of lighting cooking fires unless authorized by the mayor.
6) Prohibition of setting off fireworks in winds exceeding 20 km/h and/or during air pollution episodes.
