The activist Cédric Herrou was indicted this Monday for public insult and defamation following a complaint from the deputy Eric Ciotti (The Republicans), whom he had criticized for calling to send back migrant rescue ships like the Aquarius to Libya.
“The complaint accompanied by a civil action automatically results in an indictment and the case should be tried by the end of the year,” stated Cédric Herrou’s lawyer, Ms. Sabrina Goldman.
