The Nice Philharmonic Orchestra has embarked on a comprehensive program of Ludwig van Beethoven’s symphonic works, which will continue until 2020, the year when the 250th anniversary of his birth will be celebrated.

This March 10th at 4 PM is the next installment of this program.

Chronologically, this program takes us from the year 1800, when the first symphony was composed, to the year 1808, when the fifth was composed.

On the program: Egmont, overture (Opus 84), followed by the Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major (Opus 19) and, finally, Symphony No. 6, known as the Pastoral, in F major (Opus 68).

It is György G. Ráth, the musical director of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, who will be conducting, while the very talented Lise de la Salle will be appreciated on the piano.
