Women, the time of a song: the show continues online

Latest News

On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, the collective Les voix de Diane presented the premiere of the show “Women, for the Duration of a Song” at the National Theatre of Nice. Find a piece every day at 6 PM on their Facebook page.

What better way to honor women than by having a woman perform the most beautiful voices of those who have influenced us for decades? Soprano Diane Frรฉmaux flawlessly executed the role of the chameleon. Moving, to opera tunes, from Maria Callas to Carmen with just a change of voice. Then returning to the stage in a white dress worthy of Judy Garland to start “The Man That Got Away.” The singer with 10 characters magnificently borrowed the powerful voices of these icons, making them resonate against the walls of the Michel Simon auditorium, accompanied by Stรฉphane Eliot on the symphonic organ and Serge Gallice on the electric guitar. A small revolution in opera that makes an impact.

The show must go on online

Deprived of its subsequent performances, the collective now offers to view its show on its Facebook page. Every day, at 6 PM, it shares a filmed portion from TNN on March 8. This is an opportunity to indulge again and again in Diane’s powerful voice in the roles of these strong women.
