Yesterday morning, the exhibition celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the Tour de France yellow jersey took place. The National Sports Museum welcomed legends from cycling and journalism. The exhibition is temporary and will end on September 29th.


Famous champions gathered in Nice for the exhibition of unique pieces that have shaped the history of the Tour de France. Notable figures present were: Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France, Vincent Duluc, journalist for L’ร‰quipe and President of the Board of the Museum.

Previous yellow jersey holders:

Eddy Merckx: Tour de France winner in: 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974.

Bernard Thevenet: Tour de France winner in: 1975, 1977.

Thomas Voeckler: 4th in the Tour in 2011 and yellow jersey holder for 20 days.

Laurent Jalabert: yellow jersey holder for 4 days.

Cรฉdric Vasseur: yellow jersey holder for 5 days.

Thor Hushovd: yellow jersey holder for 10 days.
