For their last game of the regular season, the Lady Eagles secured a victory in Paris without ever really being threatened (17-22). The Nice team is heading to the playoffs.
The players of OGC Nice Handball had decided to give their all until the end. Although they were already assured of playing in the playoffs with their third place in the standings, Paris was fighting for their qualification in a long-distance duel with Toulon Saint-Cyr (who were facing Chambray).
Led by center-back Ehsan Abdelmalek, the best scorer of the match for Nice (9/10 on shots), the Lady Eagles largely dominated the match. After trailing 2-0 at the start of the game, they caught up to take the lead after ten minutes. They managed to extend their lead to four goals, but the Parisian team held on.
The same scenario unfolded in the second half, with a slightly favorable start for Paris 92. OGCN regained the lead and maintained it, extending their advantage to four and then five goals by the end of the match.
The Nice team can now focus on the playoffs. They will face Fleury, who finished sixth in the championship, in the quarter-finals. The first-leg matches will take place on the weekend of April 20th and 21st.
