The only event in the region dedicated to crime fiction, the Saint-Laurent-du-Var Crime Festival returns for the second time on April 27 and 28.
Olivier Norek, a cop-author, and writer of “Entre deux mondes” (Michel Lafon, 2017), which won the Prix Sang dโencre des lycรฉens and the Prix Sang dโencre des lecteurs 2018, will be the honorary president of this new edition. Find the program and guests in this article.
The festival will kick off on Friday, April 26, with a screening of the first episode of season 1 of “Cherif”, scripted by Laurent Scalese, followed by a debate. The author will be present all weekend with his new book, Pour le bien de tous (Belfond).
Starting Saturday, you can meet many authors for book signings, participate in the guided tour of the exhibition “Crime Scene at Orsay” based on the book by Christo Markogiannakis (Passage), as well as attend round tables.
Headlining this first day, Olivier Norek will present his latest novel Surface (Michel Lafon) in an interview at 2:15 PM. Cรฉdric Sire will also be there to discuss Vindicta (Metropolis).
At 5:30 PM, a Jazz Polar concert will close this first day.
Younger attendees can participate in a live-action investigation (10 AM – 4:30 PM, game duration: approximately 1 hour).
During these two days, more than thirty authors will be present at the festival: Sophie Hรฉnaff with the third volume of her atypical investigative team, Art et Dรฉcรจs (Albin Michel), Philip Le Roy will be there with Dans la maison (Rageot), a youth-targeted horror thriller set at Col de Vence, Victor Del Arbol, the Spanish author, will discuss his new book Par-delร la pluie (Actes Sud), as will Laurent Philipparie with his book Lectio Letalis (Belfond).
Not to mention the presence of Michel Tourscher, Sandrine Destombes, Sonja Delzongles, and many others…
