The Covid-19 epidemic has resulted in 26 new deaths in hospitals since Monday and 65 in a week in nursing homes, bringing the total number of deaths to 30,120 since the start of the epidemic, announced the Directorate General of Health (DGS) this Wednesday, July 15. “6,915 people are hospitalized for a COVID-19 infection and 133 new admissions have been recorded” between yesterday and today, the statement specifies.
The decrease in the number of patients with severe forms in intensive care continues, with ten fewer patients over the past 48 hours, for a total of 482.
The virus continues to circulate across the national territory: eight clusters of the new coronavirus have been detected in France over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 386 since May 9. According to the daily report from the Ministry of Health, 104 are still active and 232 have been closed.
“The Directorate General of Health wishes to remind that all protective measures remain more essential than ever. It is necessary to get tested at the onset of the first symptoms of the disease, even mild ones,” warns the health organization.
