From April 9, 2027, EasyJet will offer two direct flights per week between La Rochelle and Nice. This new route, operated on Mondays and Fridays, is designed to facilitate travel between the Côte d’Azur and the Atlantic coast. Tickets are available from 45 euros.
Travelers from the Côte d’Azur will be able to reach La Rochelle without going through Paris. EasyJet announced, Thursday, October 15, the opening of a new airline between Nice and the city of Charente-Maritime for the summer season of 2027. The first flights are scheduled for April 9, with two weekly rotations scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.
The route will be offered from 45 euros. The flight duration is estimated at approximately 1 hour 35 minutes. Reservations are open on the website and mobile application of the British airline.
This route is designed to allow residents of the Alpes-Maritimes to reach the Atlantic coast more easily. La Rochelle is notably known for its historical heritage, its port and its water activities. The destination also allows visitors to discover the landscapes of the coastline and the surroundings of the city.
The new route will also operate in the opposite direction. Residents of La Rochelle and its region will thus be able to reach Nice and the Côte d’Azur directly. Travelers will have access to the Mediterranean beaches, the Promenade des Anglais and the communes of the Nice hinterland.
A new route for the summer season of 2027
Beyond tourist travel, this opening also concerns business travelers. Nice regularly hosts conferences, seminars and conventions, which contribute to the economic activity of the territory. The route could thus facilitate travel between the two regions.
The Nice-La Rochelle route is part of the development of EasyJet’s regional network. The airline also announces a new route between La Rochelle and Southampton, in southern England, as of May 29, 2027. Two flights per week will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with tickets offered from 50 euros.
With these two openings, EasyJet will bring to seven the number of destinations served from La Rochelle. The airline intends to strengthen connections between regional airports , while facilitating the arrival of visitors on the Atlantic coast.
“These two new routes from La Rochelle reflect our conviction that regional connectivity is an essential lever for attractiveness and economic development for territories. By connecting La Rochelle to Nice and Southampton from 2027, we offer residents of the region new travel opportunities, while opening the destination to travelers from the Côte d’Azur and British visitors who wish to discover the Atlantic coast and the heritage of La Rochelle”, declared Reginald Otten, Deputy General Manager of EasyJet for France.
