This Sunday at the Palais Nikaia, a concert will close the 2nd edition of the Spring of Seniors which took place in the municipalities of Cannes, Contes, Menton, Nice, and Valberg, since March 28.
6000 seniors are expected.
This year, the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes offered seniors in the department over the age of 55, residing in Alpes-Maritimes and registered in “Seniors in Action,” 11,000 tickets for 16 free concerts (compared to 13 in 2018).
The Spring of Seniors also included activities for residents of 11 EHPAD in the municipalities of Nice, Antibes, Guillaume, and Menton, with ballroom dance demonstrations performed voluntarily by finalists from various editions of the “Dance with the Seniors” contest, for the great enjoyment of the residents, their families, and the staff.

Launched 7 years ago, with 1,114 registered as of December 31, 2012, the initiative now has over 23,000 registered participants and provides access to a multitude of cultural and leisure activities, some organized as competitions (dance, cinema, theater, hikes, discovery days, trips, pรฉtanque, belote, choir, …)
As last year, a partnership was established with the Departmental League against Cancer, which organized a fundraising collection at the end of each show.
