The School of Management of Nice celebrates its new graduates.

Yesterday at the Mediterranean University Centre in Nice, the graduation ceremony of the School of Managers took place, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, as well as Catherine Le Lan, Mayor of Vence and godmother of the 2018-2019 class.

“Always further, always higher” is the motto Christian Estrosi gives to this School. Since 2012, with the emergence of numerous projects in the city, the mayor has needed these brains. He affirms, “all these projects are the culmination of an addition of talents in the service of the community.” Talents that are increasing: in 2019, 704 agents were promoted during the last Administrative Joint Committee compared to 666 in 2018. Among these, 79% of the appointments were made in category B (civil servants in charge of execution roles). This shows the desire to go ever higher and further.

In 2014, the project to create the school truly took shape, linked with Nadia Levi, municipal councilor delegated to human resources. This School of Managers serves all administrative entities, approximately 15,000 agents. It allows for the development of each individual’s talents, as well as collective intelligence in alignment with the needs and ambitions of the local public service. It is “thanks to these graduates that the School fulfills its missions: gathering, innovating, and anticipating. Their diplomas, which contain numerous managerial tools, will also help improve the quality of the services provided by our administrations,” emphasizes Christian Estrosi.

A quality training program

This professional training program is a “real success” for the cityโ€™s mayor. Since September 2017, nearly 100 agents have been trained. This year, 50 have obtained the diploma. 50 agents “capable of taking on new responsibilities to successfully carry out projects useful to the community,” claims Christian Estrosi. Among these 50 graduates, 10 have obtained a change of job. Three have passed a category A competition (civil servants in charge of design, management, and supervisory functions, as well as all teaching bodies) and three others have passed a professional examination.

“All of this testifies to the true desire for innovation in our community,” explains the mayor. The School of Managers is determined to continue developing in the coming years: for the third class in 2019/2020, it will welcome 60 agents, an increase of 20% more agents than in previous years.
