For a month now, a robot has been comforting the young patients at the day hospital of L’Archet in Nice. The caregivers and children have quickly embraced it and named it Zack.
It’s a first! Zack has been the first care companion robot dedicated to sick children for a month, and it has taken residence at the Nice University Hospital.
This collective success originated with a man, Hervรฉ Boudsocq. An insurance agent in Draguignan (83), Hervรฉ was deeply moved by the personal story of one of his colleagues. From Hervรฉ’s empathy, Zack was born.
After reaching out to his entire network, friends, colleagues, and associations, the donor managed to gather an amount of 22,000 euros. This sum allowed the creation of the companion robot that now, in its own way, supports the sick children at L’Archet Hospital.
