The Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, announced it in the days following the announcement of the death of the former President of the Republic, of whom he had been a very close collaborator.
This morning, the City Council – unanimously – wanted to honor the memory of Jacques Chirac by naming the street along the Quai des États-Unis, at the level of the Galerie des Ponchettes currently under renovation, after him.
