Penultimate stage of the overall project that should improve urban and suburban mobility, this Wednesday, tram line 3 in Nice, between the airport and Saint-Isidore, will come into service.
The next and final stage that will complete lines 2 and 3, in the form of a Christmas gift, will be the inauguration on December 14 of the section Jean-Mรฉdecin โ Port-Lympia.
The commissioning of line 3 will open up the Saint-Isidore district, serve the Allianz Riviera (with the obvious advantages during matches) and the future Ikea, and connect the Nice-Mรฉridia real estate complex to the city center and the airport.
Line 3 will have six new stations: Mรฉridia, La Plaine, Les Arboras/Universitรฉ, Eco-Parc, Stade, and Saint-Isidore. It is expected to carry 12,000 daily passengers, according to the calculations of the Metropolis. Its cost is 56.8 million euros.
