G-Addiction promotes the “Tobacco-Free Month” among young people.

The numbers are clear and require no comment: 59% of 17-year-olds have already tried tobacco. 25.1% smoke daily*.

G-ADDICTION Youth Citizen has raised awareness among the young people at the Nice Pauliani Apprenticeship Training Center and the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul Vocational High School.

This is a first of its kind. In order to promote the “Tobacco-Free Month” to young people in the Azure region, G-ADDICTION Youth Citizen is launching its “outside the walls” prevention campaign in about ten vocational high schools and apprentice training centers. Health professionals as well as prevention ambassadors will “boost” the young people to encourage them to take part in this great collective challenge and to give them every chance to quit smoking.

The switch to plain packaging and the price increase are not enough to limit tobacco consumption, which is the leading preventable cause of death in France.

In this fight against smoking, which is a public health priority, and in order to protect adolescents, G-ADDICTION Youth Citizen goes where young smokers gather: during “smoke breaks,” at educational and university establishments, as well as in festive environments.
