“Outside the Walls” Concert by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra at the Church of Saint-Roch

Latest News

The Philharmonic Orchestra “steps out of its walls” and performs regularly throughout the city. For the past four years, the Orchestra has notably been holding a free concert at Saint-Roch Square.

This year, the concert will take place this Saturday at 4 PM at Saint-Roch Church, under the baton of Frรฉdรฉric Deloche.

An ensemble consisting of one percussion and eleven brass instruments (two horns, four trumpets, four trombones, and a tuba) will perform works by nine composers from very different styles and periods. These works will represent not only the classical repertoire (Haendel, Khachaturian) but also jazz and contemporary music, including composers who have written for cinema like John Barry (Out of Africa), Monty Norman (James Bond), and Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther).
