The first departmental second chance school

Latest News

This Monday, former Prime Minister Edith Cresson, now president of the foundation bearing her name, which works for second chance schools, will be in Nice to inaugurate, in the presence of Prefect Bernard Gonzales, municipal elected officials, and association representatives, the first school of this network at 52 avenue Sรฉmรฉria.

This is the only operational school in the department to date. It is attended by 56 students.

This school offers an effective pathway for professional, social, and civic integration to young people who have left the educational system without a diploma or qualification, allowing them to find their best path towards employment.

Individually guided towards autonomy, involved in the entire process, trained, and connected with a close network of trainers, recruiters, and local actors, these young people benefit from innovative teaching methods that highlight all their skills.

The education and training program, centered on a competency-based approach, focuses on each young person’s actions rather than passive learning, relying on their qualities to reveal themselves. It covers educational, cultural, sports, social, and economic domains, uses alternating training methods, and enables the acquisition of all prerequisites necessary for implementing a professional project.
