In 24 hours, 25 additional patients have died in France, bringing the total number of deaths to 30,686 since the beginning of the epidemic, according to figures published on Wednesday by Santรฉ publique France (SpF).
In detail, 7,017 cases have been confirmed in 24 hours, indicated the national health agency in the daily report published on its website, an acceleration compared to the 5,000 new cases recorded the day before but comparable to Friday’s level (7,319). The positivity rate of the tests (proportion of the number of people who tested positive compared to the total number of people tested) is identical to the day before, at 4.3%.
The number of infection clusters under investigation is 384, excluding nursing homes (Ehpad), according to SpF. The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in intensive care continues to increase, with 22 additional people, bringing the total to 446.
