The Public Health Agency reported this Saturday 10,561 new coronavirus infections in 24 hours, an unprecedented number since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to the agency, the number of patients hospitalized over the last seven days amounts to 2,432, which is 75 more than Friday, and among them, 417 have been admitted to intensive care, 28 more than the previous day.
Seventeen additional deaths have also been recorded, bringing the toll to 30,910 deaths since the start of the epidemic.
The positivity rate (the proportion of people testing positive compared to the total number of people tested) remains stable at 5.4%, and 17 people have died in 24 hours.
