Covid-19: 16,000 new positive cases, the test positivity rate exceeds 11%

According to the figures from Santรฉ Publique France released on Sunday, there have been 5,084 new hospitalizations over the past seven days, including 910 in intensive care.

France recorded just over 16,000 (16,101) new positive coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (compared to more than 26,000 the previous day), announced the health agency Santรฉ Publique France on Sunday, October 11. This brings the total to 734,974 cases.

There have also been 46 hospital deaths since the previous Saturday, bringing the total to 32,730. Additionally, there are 5,084 new hospitalizations over the past seven days, including 910 in intensive care.

As for the test positivity rate (the proportion of positive individuals out of all those tested), it continues to climb, rising from 11% to 11.5%. It was around 7% two weeks ago, and 9% last Saturday.
