The daily report from Public Health France provided its figures for this Friday, February 26. In the PACA region, the epidemiological situation remains erratic before its first weekend of targeted lockdown.
Compared to yesterday, conventional hospitalizations decreased by 21 patients, reaching 1,532 cases. Even though the variants 20H/501Y.V2 (South African) or 20J/501Y.V3 (Brazilian) are still in the minority in PACA, they are more frequent in Bouches-du-Rhône. For week 7, the positivity rate shows little change across the departments except in Var where it is increasing. It ranges from 6% in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to 10% in Alpes-Maritimes.
However, the incidence rate is 369 per 100,000 inhabitants for week 7, and it stabilizes (368 in week 6). Regarding vaccines, 218,339 people have received a first dose and 111,818 have received the second dose.
