Nearly one million FFP2 or KN95 masks will be distributed to private healthcare professionals in March. The allocation will be for one month, amounting to 40 masks.
All healthcare personnel in the metropolitan area who meet with the most vulnerable will be able to benefit (nurses, home care aides, personal care assistants, physiotherapists, general practitioners, nursing aides, midwives, ambulance drivers). A mask drive will be set up in Nice for these categories of Nice healthcare professionals, and deliveries will be made to other metropolitan municipalities.
“Well before the start of the lockdown, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis had anticipated by building up strategic reserves of masks. Seven million masks are thus in stock,” commented Christian Estrosi, president of the local authority.
