Near a thousand people responded to the call of Muriel Tran Ngoc Phu, President of ADE, and the many volunteers of the association present at the Nice theatre, as during the numerous events enabling the transformation of an orange into a 1 โฌ coin, synonymous with a week of life for a child in Sudan. The evening could therefore begin with a presentation of the association’s actions as a preamble to the arrival of the first artist of the night. Just a few meters from Vieux-Nice, where he was one of the singer-animators, Pascal Mono settled between his two guitars to kick off with a first “Alleluia” as well as the unreleased tracks from his upcoming album, oscillating between rock and blues.
A tour of songs appreciated by the public and a natural Pascal Mono who, after a detour on a group, Led Zeppelin, which had given him the desire to pursue his passion, ended up sending a message symptomatic of that night: “No one is a prophet in their own country.” Just enough time to watch poignant images of a very real situation just across from us, and the second artist of the evening was announced by Muriel.
A petite woman dressed in black then entered the stage. Jil Aigrot, the voice of the “mรดme Piaf” magnificently interpreted by Marion Cotillard, began by showing and singing “La Vie en Rose” before taking the audience through “La Foule,” accompanied by “L’Accordรฉoniste” and “L’Homme ร la Moto.” A journey through time and the memories of an unforgettable singer who came back to life for the evening for a cause she would have certainly defended.
It was already time to leave, and the last song matched well with this evening which will allow hundreds of children to eat their fill and women to give birth. “Je ne regrette rien” No one will regret having been present that Friday at the Nice theatre!
