In France, all epidemiological indicators are on the rise, with a rapid increase in the circulation of SARS-CoV-2 across most of the territory. The Alpes-Maritimes department has managed to stabilize the progression of the epidemic.

This Friday, October 20, 163 people are still hospitalized in the department for contracting the coronavirus, which is one more than the previous day. The number of patients in intensive care remains stable (49, which is one more than the previous day). 81.4% of intensive care beds are occupied in the department to treat COVID-19 cases. One death is to be reported today in the Alpes-Maritimes, bringing the total number of deaths to 253.

The national seven-day incidence rate has risen to over 430 per 100,000 inhabitants, from October 21 to 27. The number of new daily COVID-19 cases this Friday (49,215 reported cases) has increased compared to the previous day (47,637 reported cases).
