This Thursday at 6 PM at the Opera, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, and Francis Cantariti, President of the Œuvre des Crèches de Nice, will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Œuvre des Crèches de Nice.
On this occasion, Christian Estrosi will present the Medal of the City of Nice to Francis Cantariti for all his work within the association.
Founded in 1867, the Œuvre des Crèches de Nice is one of the associations that pioneered the creation of the first nurseries in France. It was the sole manager of early childhood care facilities in Nice until the creation of municipal nurseries in the mid-1950s.
Currently, the Œuvre des Crèches de Nice manages 5 nurseries with a total of 350 places for children from 2 and a half months to 4 years old.
