Health authorities announced this Friday, December 4th, that 11,221 people tested positive for Covid-19 over the past 24 hours. The test positivity rate is the same as on Thursday, standing at 10.7%.
Meanwhile, 284 patients have died in hospitals since yesterday. More than 300 residents of medical-social facilities have also died since last Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 54,767 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Over the past seven days, 8,545 new hospitalizations have been recorded, including 1,161 in intensive care. In total, 26,311 people are hospitalized, and 3,293 are in intensive care. These numbers have decreased compared to yesterday.
According to Public Health France, 3,240 clusters are still under investigation, including 1,422 in nursing homes.
