Covid-19: still nearly 6,000 people in intensive care

34,318 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected in France in the past 24 hours, according to the figures published this Thursday, compared to 34,968 the day before. The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care, slightly down the day before (5,959), increased again on Thursday, rising to 5,981. 478 were admitted to these units in the past 24 hours.


In total, hospitals counted 30,634 people affected by Covid-19, including 1,878 admitted in the last 24 hours. 285 people have died in French hospitals since the previous day, bringing the death toll to 75,980 in hospitals.

Vaccination

On the vaccination front, 13,526,306 people have received at least one dose (representing 20.2% of the total population) and 5,200,790 people have received two doses (representing 7.8% of the total population) since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in France.

In the last 24 hours, 466,044 people have been vaccinated: among them, 279,217 received a first dose and 186,827 the second injection.
