During the summer of 2016, during the restructuring works of the school restaurant of the Cimiez Paule d’Essling group, a decumanus (a paved street in a Roman city, dated between the 3rd and 5th century) was discovered.
This afternoon, Alain Grandieux, an archaeologist, will lead a workshop on the discovery of Gallo-Roman remains in the presence of two 4th-grade classes. An opportunity for these schoolchildren to explore some aspects of archaeology, right in the heart of their city and school.
