Join the Cougourdons Festival this Sunday in Nice

The Cougourdons Festival takes place every year in the city of Nice. This year, it will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, in the garden of the Arenas of Cimiez starting at 11:30 AM in the presence of the city’s mayor, Mr. Christian Estrosi.
But before that, the festival will be preceded by a so-called “courgourdonnesque” conference to be held on Saturday, March 26, at the MAMAC at 3 PM.

The cougourdon is an inedible vegetable that, however, has several uses. It can be used for decoration, as a musical instrument, or even as kitchen utensils. This vegetable is a symbol of the culture of Nice, and its yellow-orange color evokes the colors of spring.

Come spend a day filled with traditional songs, folk dances, a buffet, and two shows that will take place at the end of the afternoon. If you are not familiar with the cougourdon, this is the perfect opportunity to discover it in all its aspects.

Entry is free and open to everyone. You will find local product stands and many cougourdon-related items on site.
