Villefranche in bloom for the 77th edition of the naval battle

This Monday, Villefranche-sur-Mer will celebrate, with great pomp, the 77th edition of the Floral Naval Battle.

Incorporated into the program of the Nice Festival, the Villefranche naval battle is also an ode to the “pointus,” these typical boats that are passed down from generation to generation, as a heritage of a unique culture.

Thousands of spectators will be present on the quays to witness this battle of flowers.

For the record: no less than 30,000 carnations, 600 kg of mimosa, 900 bouquets, and 80 garlands of boxwood will be required.
