The misfortune continues to plague OGC Nice. After the heavy defeat in the north (0 – 3) and a series of 4 matches without a win, the team suffers a new setback with the absence of Youcef Atal until the end of the season.
Injured in the shoulder during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Youcef Atal had suffered a new injury in the same spot on February 6 against Clermont. The full-back had been absent for more than a month and only returned during the match at the Vรฉlodrome on March 20. Unfortunately, the Algerian relapsed against Lens after a collision with Ganago.
Following this new relapse, the 25-year-old player decided, in agreement with the Riviera club, to undergo shoulder surgery. The operation went perfectly this Wednesday, but Youcef Atal will be absent until the end of the season.
