Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, presented the awards to the winners of the 2021 Health Call for Projects, in the presence of Jean-Franรงois Mattei, former Minister of Health, Family, and Disabled Persons, honorary president of the National Academy of Medicine, and member of the Institute of Moral and Political Sciences.
Out of the 20 projects selected by the jury of the 13th Call for Projects, 12 were awarded tonight in the following areas: cancer screening and treatment, treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and disabilities (loss of autonomy, rare or orphan diseases, Alzheimer’s disease), new digital e-health technologies, and Artificial Intelligence applied to health.
This edition benefited from a scientific committee composed of prominent figures (Clara Ducord, accompanied by Professors Fabrice Barlesi, Bรฉatrice Fervers, Achille Tchalla, Benjamin Terrier, and Dr. Martial Fraysse).
Alongside the Health Call for Projects initiative, the Alpes-Maritimes Department also supported and honored 5 innovation projects from the Nice University Hospital, and in the pandemic context, 3 COVID-19 projects.
Following the award ceremony, the 14th edition of the Health Call for Projects was launched. With a budget of 2.3 million euros, this new chapter will focus on 5 themes. The jury will be chaired by Dr. Xavier Morelli, President of the Scientific Committee of the PACA Canceropole.

Since the launch of this program, the Department has invested over 34.8 million euros to support the 266 projects selected.
