In terms of vaccination, almost half of the French population (49.5%, or 33,372,708 people) has received at least one injection, and nearly a third (31.6%, or 21,278,460 people) are fully vaccinated (either with two doses or with just one for those who had already contracted Covid or received the Janssen vaccine).
This Sunday, 8,986 Covid patients were hospitalized. This figure had not dropped below 9,000 since October 13.
Among these hospitalized patients, 1,345 are in critical care units, reserved for the most severely affected, compared to 6,000 two months ago. Once again, you have to go back to October 4 to find such a low total.
Hospital services recorded 42 Covid patient admissions in 24 hours, with 13 admissions to critical care. Seventeen patients have died from Covid in the hospital since the previous day.
