Some tips for dealing with the heatwave

Latest News

A strong heat wave is expected for the coming days. To be prepared, the Nice Premium team has some advice for you.

– Drink water regularly without waiting to feel thirsty.
– Cool off and wet your body several times a day! *Tip: use misting sprays or a damp cloth.*
– Eat sufficiently and do not drink alcohol; favor refreshing foods such as salad or fruits like watermelon or melon.
– If you want to go out, go out early in the morning or in the evening! It’s time to embrace culture by visiting cool places like cinemas, libraries, or museums.
– Speaking of cool spaces, keep your home cool by closing windows and shutters during the day.
– For once, we advise you to avoid physical exertion. The only sport allowed is rest.
– If you feel an irresistible urge to go swimming, make sure you have a hat, sunscreen, and water. Swim safely on the [supervised beaches](https://www.nice.fr/fr/littoral-et-plages/les-plages) of the Côte d’Azur.
– Keep in touch with your loved ones and check on them; it’s not just at Christmas that we strengthen our bonds!

If you know elderly, disabled, or fragile people who are isolated, encourage them to register on the list made available by each town hall to receive help from volunteers.

The “Heatwave” information hotline is available Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at 0800 06 66 66. Follow the live weather updates through the [Météo France website](https://vigilance.meteofrance.fr/fr).
