Le 109 is an essential place for culture fans living in Nice. The city’s contemporary cultures hub hosts the event “Éclairage Public.” Indeed, for three days, from June 17 to 19, art, the highlighting of creation, and performances will be featured.
For the sixth edition of this event, the theme is “Flower Power”, a theme that recalls the end of spring and the beginning of summer. This event will intersect the artistic disciplines cultivated at the 109 throughout the year. The event relies on programming proposed by site residents.
Throughout the event, expect to find:
- La Station for visual arts
- L’Entre-Pont and its four structures dedicated to live performance (theatre, dance, contemporary puppetry, music, digital arts)
- The Urban Planning and Architecture Forum
- La Cie Antipodes for dance in public space
- Panda Events for current music
- La Bande Passante which unites producers and distributors of cinema and photography.
With all its artists, come and discover the floral world through different elements.
Visitors of all ages are expected on Friday, June 17 at the 109 for the event’s launch, which will begin with the opening of five exhibitions. An exhibition within the theme that will bring together 42 artists and hundreds of works to observe.
Various types of workshops await you during the day and also in the evening with nighttime projections or even edible flower tastings.
The event will conclude with a floral gastronomic meal prepared by the Cabaret Performance.
