Between the Mediterranean and the Esterel massif, Alain Montigny passionately leads the kitchens of the starred restaurant L’Or Bleu. With an exceptional track record, the Master Craftsman of France champions authentic gastronomy where product, technique and emotion occupy a central place.

He is one of the rare chefs to hold both the Michelin star and the tricolour collar of Master Craftsman of France. This man of character knows what he wants, he loves work done well and prefers sincerity to appearances. At the helm of the restaurant “L’Or Bleu”, at the Tiara Yaktsa hotel, he brings to life a culinary experience above the waves and in the heart of the Esterel: chef Alain Montigny*!

Between the red rocks of the Esterel massif and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, the Tiara Yaktsa hotel cultivates a natural and intimate atmosphere, a true haven of serenity! And to perfect this peaceful journey, its gourmet restaurant L’Or Bleu invites you to a creative culinary interlude, enhanced by an exclusive panoramic view!

Alain Montigny demonstrates a remarkable journey, forged by rigor, work and passion. Originally from Champagne, he began at Le Crillon Paris, under the three-star chef Éric Frechon. A determining experience that reinforced his ambition to flourish in the world of haute cuisine. “Le Crillon embodies the excellence and demands of great French hospitality. There I learned rigor, attention to detail and the importance of teamwork to achieve a constant level of excellence!”

Alain Montigny: “When customers close their eyes, they must know what they have eaten”

He then takes over the management of the gourmet restaurant Le Carmontelle Dolce Chantilly; his talent is rewarded by the prestigious title of Master Craftsman of France in 2004, followed by a first Michelin star in 2008. “The pursuit of perfection, the desire to surpass myself and the drive to evaluate my skills led me to enter the competition. Winning the title of Master Craftsman of France is an immense source of pride, but it is also a duty: that of passing on our values and continuing to aim ever higher!” Seeking new horizons, he flies to Switzerland and joins Chalet Royalp, where he wins another Michelin star. Then, the Mediterranean calls to him. At the helm of the L’Or Bleu restaurant, he achieves a new feat by earning a Michelin star just a few months after his arrival, in 2021! “Being a chef requires precision, perseverance and constant sacrifice. Forging my culinary identity was a determining step in my career: learning to express my values, my vision and my personality in each of my creations.”

Alain Montigny creates a classic and refined modern cuisine, influenced by the Mediterranean. Technical precision, respect for the product and the quest for flavor balance occupy an essential place. He likes to work products in the purest way possible. “Our menu evolves with the pace of fishing catches and the wealth of local products. I don’t cheat: I showcase a taste cuisine that is readable and sincere.“

To surprise the diner, the chef creates a blind menu: a succession of dishes made according to his inspiration and available products, never straying from what makes a dish correct. “When customers close their eyes, they must know what they have eaten: a cuisine that goes to the essentials never forgetting their pleasure! Each plate is for me a promise: that of living up to my customers’ expectations and the trust my team places in me! My experience must never make me lose my vigilance and my desire to do things well.”

On the menu? Egg chanterelles, coral lentil lobster Rocket, yellow pollack parsnip fig…

In perfect harmony, Alain Montigny and pastry chef Laurent Martinetto create delicate creations – grapefruit vanilla, blackberry blueberry chocolate – thus concluding the experience beautifully!

All accompanied by a carefully paired wine selection from head sommelier Benoit Sessegolo and attentive table service!
