Latest News

As part of the national diabetes prevention week, the CCAS is getting involved and will conduct an awareness and prevention campaign this Tuesday (from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM) at the Saint-Jean d’Angély Autonomous Residence, in partnership with the Association des Diabétiques 06.

Several booths will be set up for the occasion. The first, managed by the Association des Diabétiques 06, will allow discussions about the disease.

Another booth will focus on screening and will raise awareness among seniors about the importance of this action. Visitors will be able to get screened on-site by a nurse.

The last booth will address nutrition and lifestyle and provide individuals with advice to maintain and improve their quality of life in case of diabetes. Two workshops will also be offered to visitors. They will have the opportunity to make jewelry and keychains or participate in an adaptive sports session focused on balance and joint mobility.
