Latest News

With 2,500 participants across all events, including 612 runners currently registered for the Ultra distances (90 km and 145 km), the 4th edition of the Ultra-Trail® Côte d’Azur Mercantour promises to be exciting.

A demanding, spectacular, and technical course: 10,000 m of positive elevation gains and 9,000 m of negative elevation losses. In total, for the main distance, ultra-trailers will cover 145 km from the base of Mont Chauve to the perched village of Saint-Martin-Vésubie (975 m altitude).

Competitors will journey through the preserved natural heritage of the upper Nice country, breathtaking landscapes, and from the “relais des merveilles,” a spectacular contrast with snow-covered peaks.

They will cross the natural riches of our department such as Mont Chauve, the Plateau de la Madone d’Utelle, Mont Archas, and the Cime de la Valette de Prals, the highest point of the course at 2,496 m. A unique course worldwide crossing 18 communes between Nice and Saint-Martin-Vésubie.

The race is expected to finish on Sunday in Saint-Martin-Vésubie.
