The Ultra-Trail ended today with the 25km and the 45km races. The 2018 edition was marked by a date change, new distances, and late snowfalls. However, the event concluded successfully.
Julien NAVARRO achieved a double win by taking the vertical kilometer yesterday and the 25km today (1 hour 59 minutes).
The 25km women’s race was won by Chloe LALEVEE, who completed the course in 2 hours and 32 minutes.
Valentin NOEBES-TOURRES is the winner of the men’s 45km race. He clocked in at 5 hours and 37 minutes, with a 20-minute lead over his competitors.
For the women, Eline KOERS won the 45km in 7 hours and 22 minutes.
This year, we witnessed remarkable performances from both men and women, all set in breathtaking landscapes showcasing the Mercantour and the Côte d’Azur.
2500 competitors started in the 7 distances of the UTCAM, with an abandonment rate of 41%, a decrease compared to the previous year.
Enough to motivate the trail runners to participate in the next edition.
