The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has been selected by the Government as one of the 24 French territories most capable of implementing, this year, innovative and sustainable solutions to combat homelessness (2018-2022) and inadequate housing.
The Metropolis had indeed mobilized, in close collaboration with the Departmental Union of Communal Social Action Centers and the Communal Social Action Center of Nice, to respond to the Call for Expression of Interest launched by the State at the end of March 2018.
Particularly affected by the housing crisis, the Metropolis aimed to engage in this priority action plan to reduce social divides, combat severe poverty, facilitate access to housing for people without stable accommodation or at risk of losing housing, and thus relieve increasingly overwhelmed emergency shelters.
The funds allocated by the State will allow for tailored support and sustainable solutions for the people affected to re-enter housing.
