The 35th edition of the European Heritage Days is themed “The Art of Sharing”. On this occasion, throughout the weekend, four concerts will take place around this theme.
*Saturday at 2:00 PM at Saint-François-de-Paule Church: Concert Saturday – 4 hands Laetitia Grisi Julien Martineau “An Orchestra in the Piano”*
Performed by the Martineau-Grisi duo, piano four hands, and young talents Axel Pojaghi, on cello, and Aleksandar Nikolaev, on flute. Works by Beethoven, Rossini, Mozart, Debussy, Dukas, Puccini, Verdi…
*Saturday at 8:30 PM at Sainte-Réparate Cathedral: Concert – Sestina BD “Intercultural Concert – World Music”*
Three choirs from the French Riviera of different cultures, accompanied by piano, violin, and percussion, will share a world music concert with you: the Renanim vocal ensemble, under the direction of Avner Soudry, will present excerpts of Jewish musical heritage; the Alâwiyya Sufi choir, under the direction of Salem Djerah, will perform its traditional samâ, a mystical chant that leads whirling dervishes to spiritual ecstasy; the non-community vocal ensemble La Sestina, directed by Stephan Nicolay, will perform one Hebrew and one Arabic song with each choir before paving the way to traditional world music.
