2273 athletes participated in this intense endurance race, with the start given at 7:30 AM at Centenary Beach.
A demanding program: 1.9 km of swimming, cycling with the ascent of the Col de Vence, running, and finishing in front of the public on the Promenade des Anglais.
A perfectly executed course by Rudy Van Berg, who completed it in just over 4 hours and 9 minutes. The athlete currently lives in the United States but spent his childhood in Nice, where he began cycling.
Manon Genêt, who already has an impressive track record, wins her second Iron Man 70.3 in Nice, after the Pays d’Aix.
This race was a qualifier for the 2019 Iron Man World Championship.
