After Macao in 2011 and Xiamen in 2017, the Nice Carnival, “King of Energy,” is the guest of honor in the city of Ningbo, near Shanghai in China.
From September 28 to October 3, this city of over 7.5 million inhabitants will experience the rhythm of the Nice Carnival in an identical replica of the event: carnival parades and flower battles with the same staging involving street art troupes, the Tribune Agitators Brigade, and musical entertainment by the Nice one-man band.
Approximately 180,000 spectators are expected, coming from all over China to attend what will be the 3rd “Nice Carnival” on Chinese soil and the 2nd on the continent. It is also endorsed by the European Union as part of the EU-CHINA tourism year.
