The Alpes-Maritimes department is home to numerous patriotic associations that honor those who have given their lives for France or bravely fought to defend the nation’s ideals.
Eager to thank them for their ongoing commitment, the Department wished to bring them together this Friday for a friendly and convivial day at Fort de la Drète. Nearly 300 people are expected to attend, including the departmental president Charles-Ange Ginésy and Jean-Baptiste Canonici, the 98-and-a-half-year-old President of the Rawa-Ruska camp veterans from Alpes-Maritimes and Corsica, one of the last surviving members of the camp.
