A convention has been signed between the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee, the League Against Cancer, and the Mutualité Française at the headquarters of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, a major player in the health of the Azur region’s residents, in the presence of Eric Ciotti and Françoise Duhalde–Guignard, health delegate advisor.
Through this tripartite agreement, “the partners pledge to be present and pool resources at sports events to successfully carry out prevention and health promotion operations,” states the text signed by Thierry Pattou (MF), Maurice Schneider (LcC), and Philippe Manassero (CDOS).

With its various sports plans aimed at youth, its College Future Plan, and its program for seniors, the department acts in strict accordance with WHO recommendations to reduce sedentary lifestyles and remains a committed partner.
