The concept of equality between women and men has regained a central place in the political debate since the Harvey Weinstein affair. Maty Diouf thus outlined the main points of this report, which received moderate criticism from the opposition. The discussion covered discrimination, harassment, assaults, and also female entrepreneurship.
Among the actions undertaken, the focus on women’s training, particularly in technical sectors, can be highlighted. A part of the opposition reacted by pointing out that accepting such a report would promote discrimination rather than combat it. The deputy mayor also announced the creation of the metropolitan equality network.
